About The Event
We’re surrounded by homes, businesses, and infrastructure packed so tightly together that it’s often hard to notice and appreciate the tiny details in the built environment. Everyday items like fire escapes, mailboxes, and storm drains might seem unremarkable on their face, but they often have interesting backstories. In this audio tour created by journalist and podcast producer Scott Gurian – and co-produced in collaboration with Radio Free Montclair – we’ll spend about an hour walking through downtown Montclair, taking notice of seemingly ordinary objects and then recording what you learned about the infrastructure you pass every day.
