PPE Donation Drive

Our local nurses, doctors, EMTs, hospital transports, and PAs are on the frontlines of this pandemic, and need help. They are working with rationed medical supplies such as surgical masks, gowns, gloves, and eye protection.

The shortage of personal protection equipment (PPE) is real, and growing worse by the hour.

To meet this very urgent need, Montclair Design Week launched our PPE Donation Drive in partnership with our local hospitals to collect surplus supplies from our community. The response has been overwhelming! As of April 7, we have collected over 200 masks, 7 pairs of eye protection and 5,100 gloves!

WHAT WE'RE ACCEPTING

Clean unused masks, eye protection, gowns and latex-free gloves. We're also accepting hospital-approved hand-sewn masks and hair bouffants. If you like to sew, why not join our "Sew Good" Crew and make your own? We promise, it's not your grandma's sewing group.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Donate your PPE. Our donation drive is open 7 days a week! Sign up for a time slot that works for you so that we can ensure a safe process for everyone involved. If you have a large donation, please call us at 973 744-2544x3 to arrange a pickup time. There's no amount that's too small or too large.

  • Call local businesses. Are you a people person and a wiz over the phone? Help us reach out to our business community for any PPE equipment they can donate. We have all the tools you need to help right from home.

WHERE DONATED PPE IS GOING

At this time, Clara Maas, Mountainside and St Joseph's Hospitals are our focus. As more donations come in, we hope to expand to other local hospitals in need of PPE.

Your donations are like healthcare that you're paying forward in the most generous and togetherness way. Find your surplus and see you soon!
